After work yesterday I stopped by the victory party for the gay civil rights bill at the Paramount. There was a major party going on in there, along with a lot of smiling and crying. I ran into Travis and lawrence!, and I'm pretty sure I caught a glimpse of Miss Tina, too.
It was a splendid scene.
Then I caught a bus to head with Josh to Ballard to see Mount Eerie. It was a pretty great show, but the whole sitting on the floor and not drinking part was a little strange. Which just means that I'm in a show-going rut and need a little more strange. Afterwards we stopped at the Green Room for drinks, because the evening felt off without alcohol. A band neither one of us has ever heard of was playing, and we saw a fistfight. While I was waiting for the bus home, an old man told me terrible jokes and paid me lavish compliments. I couldn't decide if he was drunk or just weird, but fortunately the bus came.
In the interest of increasing the strange, Caroline and I are off to the "Mr and Miss Gay Asian" pageant tonight.
