silverfae9I am a sucker for romantic comedies. I watch an astonishing number of movies that make me wince, they're so bad, and yet as long as the boy gets the girl in the end I'm satisfied. I lose a lot of my hipster cred because of my attachment to these films but things are unhappy enough often enough that I'll take my happy endings wherever I can get them.
This comes up, of course, because I spent an obscene amount of time today watching several of said movies. Jeff was in Portland all day and I've learned through experience that it's never a good idea to make a boy watch these girly things unless you have a serious bargaining chip, and usually not even then. So I jumped (well, shuffled) at the chance to completely immerse myself in happy endings. I think I prefer watching them with myself rather than with the peanut gallery I used to live with. Sarah, of course, was great for these sorts of things but Jackie and Jesse and Pete are huge grumps and total downers.
I should have been cleaning my house. But I wasn't.
