Checkbook Daddy-O
Today was my trip to the dentist. Fortunatly, it was not quite the crisis situation I had spent the last week imagining it was going to be. He said that yes, my wisdom teeth are impacted but no, it would do no good to remove them, especially since I can't pay for it. After lots of poking and bleeding, I was deemed healthy and told to stop breathing through my mouth in my sleep. I told him that I wasn't going to do anything to disturb the precious little sleep that I do get. He thanked me for taking care of my teeth, which I found to be richly funny since I haven't been to the dentist in, like, six years.
Yesterday, I recieved the book Neil Gaiman has been hemming and hawing about releasing for about two years, Coraline. Also, there was a tape of his last book tour. He read "Chivalry" and "Baby Cakes". I'm in love. Regardless, on the tape he talks about how he wasn't sure if he was going to release the book to kids or adults, because kids think it's a good adventure story and adults have nightmares and tell him he can't release it. It seems to have been released for kids. I like it. Also, he sounds a lot like and looks a bit like Alan Rickman, which I find terribly funny.
And I got my info from the University of Washington. So much intimidation for such a small envelope.
Also, I cleaned my house.

I may be the only one, but I find Alan Rickman incredibly sexy. Just my longing for strange old British guys, I guess.

You have to watch the tape. He's, like, so amused with himself for reading his stuff to a room full of geeks that just worship him.
Also, he talks about how "American Gods" has a more Sandman-y feel, and now that I think of it...it's true.
Terry Gilliam is making the movie for "Good Omens." I'm so excited.
