Just shot down in a serious way by a professor at UW. I thought I'd be all clever and ask this woman for help with my paper, since she studies the right area and stuff-like. But, being me, I made a total ass of myself and got a 'no, I can't help' out of the bargain.

color me depressed. Don't go to grad school, kids. It's not worth the trouble.
