Jul. 18th, 2004 04:14 pmGetting downtown today was a bit of an adventure. Seattle is chock full of governors this weekend, which evidently means that streets and streets and streets get blocked off. No one is allowed within 3 blocks of the governors. And it's nice to see that we have so many police officers to spare that a jillion of them can guard the perimiter.
I don't usually go downtown on the weekends unless I have to. The whole place is too close to work, but I figured that since I was down there I'd go wander and look at things and maybe have a sandwich. But after being on the bus with a bunch of grumpy people for twice as long as usual, I decided to forgo all of that and come home.
Now I'm waiting for someone's clothes to stop being in the dryer so that mine can be, and being impressed that my impatients are budding. They're making -flowers-, my friends, and that's neat.
