Aug. 2nd, 2004 09:27 pmHooray for all of you who did the right thing and went to Ballard yesterday to wave your cameras about. I intended to, but instead I went to the Scottish Games.
And I got my sunburn on.
It's a scientifically proven fact that every time I go out in the sun for more than 5 minutes, I'll get a burn. There's a reason I'm an indoor girl.
But some things are worth the pain, and the Scottish Games are one of them. There are more men in skirts than I can shake a stick at. Also meat pies and cute cows. And Mt. Rainier, which almost looked real yesterday.
On our way home we stopped by the Muckleshoot Casino, because neither one of us had ever been in a casino. It was actually pretty disappointing...the slot machines were all digital touch screen dealies. Jeff played Blackjack and didn't do so bad until he lost. I was baffled by the rest of the games. We stopped for burgers and I got an empty egg out of a toy machine.
Today, my headache is back and my friend got fired, only not all the way. Or something.
