Sarah and Jesse, I am trying very hard to keep control of my obsessive planning gene, because at least half of me is SO EXCITED that I want to make lists of places to take you guys. But I refuse to be that much of a geek.

Speaking of geek, the Princess Bride was the midnight movie this weekend, and Steph and I went. The print was really crappy, full of jumps and splices and what have you, but man were those people into it. And by 'those people' I mean me.

Steph and Ryan are awesome.

My brother's band has a name, and that name is Blood Throne. I can't even think it with a straight face. When I asked him if the throne was made of blood or merely covered in it, he yelled at me.
Blood Throne. Cripes.

They have not yet got a singer--or, to stay true to their grindcore roots, a screamer--although one of their guitar players will sing provided there's no one else in the room. Which is kinda, uh, useless.

So on Wednesday they'll be auditioning to play a couple of songs at the 8th grade dance, and I don't imagine that the principal would make the offer and then decide not to let them. Which means that my 14-year-old monkey will potentially have his first gig.

Still not moving here to sleep on my couch and be a rockstar, though.
