Yesterday was super nice out, so we headed out to Golden Gardens to join Cat's cookout type thing. I'd never been over there before, and I must say that it's one of the most peculiar looking beaches I've ever seen. It's all woods and then suddenly beach. Strange. I'm pretty sure half of Seattle was at the beach yesterday, cooking out and trying to hit us with frisbees. I had my first veggie burger ever, which was somewhat overdone and not nearly as satisfying as a real burger, but not nearly as bad as I had expected. I'd have one again. Also, I made my first s'more. It seemed as though a good time was had by all.

Today we're going to do something else. Jeff is turning me into an outdoor girl, and by outdoor I mean leaving my house. It's beautiful out today, and the sad fact is that if Jeff hasn't suggested going out I would stay here and look at it from inside all day, and not even think about how that's sad and pathetic. I am too much of a housegirl, and that's a fact. Thursday, in the absence of job interviews and if the weather reports are wrong about it being rainy, we may go canoeing. This makes me a little nervous, as the only time I've ever been in a canoe was 13 years ago, and it tipped over. So we'll see.

Happy Easter, everyone!

A kayak is supposedly more stable than a canoe. Here's hoping that stability is not a factor, though. Spending an afternoon on the lake in either type of boat is about the best thing to do around these parts.
