So to add to the ever growing list of my issues, today I'm having wedding gift issues. (These are just Sarah related wedding gift issues, since we're not even going to go -into- Matt related wedding issues, since I'm not going.)
There are several problems here. First, the thing that she told me to get them is on their stupid Target registry which tells me it's 'ready for in-store pickup', which means that it won't let me buy it online. The problem with that is that it's all glass, so I want to have it sent directly to my mom's in order to avoid the luggage tossing gauntlet at the airline. But then, the things that it -will- let me order online are hopelessly prosaic things like, you know, serving spoons and bowls, and I realize that since that's what they registered for, that's what they want, but...it feels silly.
So I'm not sure just what to do about this wedding gift thing, and I know that you're all smart cookies...ideas?

OK then... let me think about our registry and what was useful. How much you willing to spend?

Electric kettle: very useful, but a good one will set you back $50.

Rice cooker: also very useful... if they eat rice more than once a week. Again, $50 for a decent one.

Fry Daddy: Pretty useless, not very safe.

Utensils: Don't even bother.

Coasters: That's a thought, esp. if they're good quality (like slate or terra cotta).

I'll think of some more.
