This morning I went out to have a look at the spider just as a small bug flew into the web. I had my face pretty close to her so her sudden speedy motions scared the bejeezus out of me, but it wasn't me she was going for. She was going for that bug. Within seconds she had him all wrapped up and was taking him back to the center of her web, where she hands out, to do whatever it is that spiders do with bugs. I was amazed; I've never seen a spider -do that- before, so it was pretty neat to watch.

Then Jeff and I went to a "game sale" which was mostly lots of RPG related things, the thought of which makes me nearly comatose with boredom. Jeff got a version of monopoly that has the old, folded-just-down-the-middle version, which is superior to my folded-in-quarters version because it lays flat. And me, I bought a Scrabble with wooden tiles. It's from 1982, so my scrabble board and I are the same age. The original tile holding bag has been replaced by a fancy purple Crown Royal bag.

Tomorrow is the start of Jeff's Birthday Week, which he failed to mention on the Beans for Breakfast calendar. Just so everyone knows.
